Occasion of Birth Centenary of Professor M.S. Swaminathan

Our students participated in the event organised by Genetics Congress Trust to celebrate M.S. Swaminathan's Centenary at National Agricultural Science Complex, Pusa Campus, New Delhi on August 9, 2025. The event featured a debate and discussion on "Genetically Modified Crops as Essential for Food Security".

Anvesha Mishra, 12th-standard student, secured second position and was honored by former President Mr. M. Venkaiah Naidu. This event highlighted the importance of genetically modified crops in ensuring global food security.

Report on the Offline Capacity Building Training Program for Teachers on "Environmental Education and Conservation of Natural Resources" among Students

Capacity Building Program (CBP) for Teachers

Our school successfully organized an in-house, one-day offline Capacity Building Program (CBP) for teachers on "Environmental Education and Conservation of Natural Resources" among students on August 8, 2025, in accordance with CBSE COE (Delhi West) guidelines. Fifty teachers acquired knowledge and skills to support students in environmental awareness and conservation.

The program featured expert resource persons, Mrs. Mamta Vohra (PGT Biology) and Mrs. Rajinder Kaur (TGT Science), who delivered interactive sessions that engaged teachers in activity-based learning. Participants shared experiences, challenges, and best practices through group discussions, gaining practical knowledge to promote environmental education.

The CBP was deemed successful, leaving a lasting impact on educators. It enhanced their capabilities to foster environmental awareness and conservation among students, aligning with our commitment to holistic education.

VISIT TO BOOK FAIR

The school visited to Book Fair ,which was held at Bharat Mandapam Hall on August 7, 2025. About 55 students of class VII were accompanied by 6 teachers. The organisers of Book Fair organised a Drawing Competition in which around 400 students of different schools participated. One of our students, Munirah Khan was awarded with the certificate and a medal. Our students also showed good interest in buying and discovering books of their interest. It was a meaningful and enjoyable time spent with the books.

Students Participation in "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" Campaign

On July 26’ 2025, students from The Lawrence Public School, Janakpuri, actively participated in the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign which was held in Central Park, Janakpuri.

The event was honored by the presence of esteemed guests; Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, MP (West Delhi), Shri Ashish Sud, Cabinet Minister (Delhi Government) ,Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh, Mahapour Delhi. Sardar Sarvjeet Singh Duggal, former Municipal Councillor (Alderman), presided over the event.

The campaign aims to promote environmental conservation and highlight the importance of tree plantation. By participating in this initiative, the students and Eco Club in-charge demonstrated their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. The event served as a platform for the students to learn about the significance of environmental conservation and take an active role in promoting a greener future.

Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony 2023-24

Motivation of students for their academic achievement can be made possible by giving them a prize at the end of their academic year. Thereby, The Lawrence Public School organized Annual Prize Distribution for the classes Nursery to XII in the month of May’24. The first 3 position holders and 100% attendance achievers from each class were given a certificate and a shield. The programme started with the lighting of lamp and showering flowers to Goddess Saraswati. The Principal and the Vice Principal of the school blessed the winners and shared their lifetime achievements.


Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony’2022-2023

The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for the session 2022-23 for classes Nursery to V was held on 14th September’23 and for classes VI to XII on 15th September’23.

On these days, the position holders were given certificates and shields. The students who attained 100% attendance were also awarded with certificates and shields. The occasion concluded with the inspirational and motivational words to always keep trying, by the Principal, Mrs. Rekha Kumari.

Cleanliness Drive – “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Sath”

The students of Lawrence Public School, C-3,Janakpuri, gave their positive contribution to the Swachh Bharat one hour Shramdaan mission initiated by our honourable Prime Minister Sh. Modi ji on 1st October'23 between 10 am to 11 am.

Around 80 student volunteers of our school participated in this mega event .

The highlights of the event included the PLEDGE on Swachhta and a song sung by our students to spread awareness and importance of cleanliness in our lives. Lots of Slogans on Swachh Bharat were prepared by our students and were amicably recited in our school's rally.

An assembly was also held where the head of the institution addressed the students to mark the importance of today's event. Our neighborhood Park was selected for cleanliness drive and the whole park along with all the swings were thoroughly cleaned thereafter. The event was successfully and fruitfully managed and done.

INTER-HOUSE COMPETITIONS-2023-24

Competitions facilitate the development of various domains of mind and personality of an individual. Keeping this in mind, The Lawrence Public School has organised various Inter-House Competitions in the months April’23 to August’2023.

The competitions were inclusive of Drawing, Solo singing, Show and tell; Hindi & English Extempore, Recitation, Debate and Declamation; Punjabi, Urdu Recitation, Mono Acting, GK Quiz and Power Point Presentation and various competitions of our tiny tots of classes Nursery & Prep. The performances by the students were very mesmerizing and exuberating. All the participants were appreciated and the winners were given certificates.

Investiture Ceremony (2023-24)

In order to instill confidence, self reliance and a zeal to compete with responsibility, the students of The Lawrence Public School are grouped in the designated Houses. Our school has a profound House System consisting of four houses i.e. Sanskriti House, Shakti House, Jagriti House and Pragati House. The House Meeting for this session was held on 29th April’2023. Krish Mittal (XII Science) & Vaishali Parashar (XII Commerce) were titled as Head Boy and Head Girl. Also, each house selected their respective Captain, Vice Captain & Activity Incharges and all the students took an oath to conduct their duties without any personal bias. The ceremony ended with the motivational speech by the Principal, Mrs. Rekha Kumari and Vice Principal, Mrs. Vandana Kumari. The rolling trophy was awarded to Pragati House for the academic session 2022-23.
